Shocks & Struts
The most common job we do. Worn dampers are why a truck floats over dips, nose-dives when you brake and chews the inside of the tires.
Suspension is what this shop does. Worn shocks and struts, sagging springs, clunking control arms and death wobble — and the upgrade side too: FOX, BDS and Cognito hardware fitted and aligned in-house, on the same lift.
Repair and upgrade are the same bay here. Whether the truck needs its geometry put back to factory or taken well past it, it goes on the same lift and leaves aligned.
The most common job we do. Worn dampers are why a truck floats over dips, nose-dives when you brake and chews the inside of the tires.
FOX and similar coilover conversions, for people who want travel and adjustability rather than just ride height.
Cognito and BDS upper arms on lifted trucks, and factory-replacement arms, ball joints and bushings on everything else.
Track bars, drag links, tie rods and steering stabilizers. This is usually what is behind a wandering or wobbling front end.
Sagging or cracked leaves, add-a-leafs and blocks on trucks that squat under a load or a bed full of tools.
For diesels and anything making enough torque to wrap an axle. We fit them and we fabricate mounts when the kit needs it.

More builds go up most days on Instagram @kwt_mansfield.
“Highly recommend using King Wheel and Tire on any custom work on your truck. ... I ended up at Kings and worked with Z and he got it right! ... Can't speak highly enough about the company and how they operate.”
“Great experience with these guys, they got my 23 F150 lookin good with a 6 inch Rough Country lift and some 35s. If you're looking for quality work with honest people then come here, they will make sure you're happy before you leave.”
“I'm new to the lifted truck scene, and they made the entire process so smooth and comfortable. They guided me through every step ... My truck turned out absolutely gorgeous, award-winning gorgeous! Huge thank you to everyone at KWT Mansfield!”
Bouncing, clunking, leaning, wandering, riding rough. The symptom usually narrows it to two or three parts before we touch it.
We check the whole front end rather than replacing the one part you asked about, because worn components fail in groups.
One quote covering parts and labour on the whole job, before anything comes apart.
Every suspension job leaves aligned. Replacing arms or springs without re-aligning is how a new set of tires dies in a season.
A truck that keeps moving after the dip has finished has worn dampers. Test it in a car park: push the corner down hard and it should settle in one motion.
Usually sway bar links, ball joints or bushings. Cheap to fix early, expensive once it has worn the parts either side of it.
A front end that hunts at speed, or shakes hard after hitting a bump, is a steering and track bar problem. Do not put this one off.
Feathered or cupped tread is a suspension symptom, not a tire fault. New tires on a worn front end wear out the same way.
Heavier springs and properly valved shocks stop the squat and stop the trailer steering the truck.
Most lift kits ship with the minimum hardware. Better arms and shocks are what make a lifted truck ride like it was designed that way.
Extra unsprung weight loads everything. The factory damper was never valved for a 35.
Travel and heat management are what matter off road, and that is a shock question more than a height question.
It depends on which parts are worn and whether we are replacing them with factory equivalents or upgrading. A pair of shocks and a full front-end rebuild are not the same job, which is why we do not post prices. Call (817) 778-4800 or send the form and you will get one number covering parts and labour.
The truck keeps bouncing after a bump instead of settling in one motion, the nose dives under braking, it leans hard in corners, or the tread is wearing in cups and patches. Most people notice it as the ride simply getting worse over a long period.
Violent shaking after hitting a bump, usually on a lifted truck or Jeep, is almost always a worn track bar, tie rod end or ball joint rather than the steering stabilizer people replace first. We diagnose the actual loose joint instead of masking it, and yes, we fix it.
Yes. Replacing control arms, springs or anything that locates the wheel changes caster, camber and toe. Every suspension job we do leaves the shop aligned, because skipping that is the fastest way to ruin a new set of tires.
Yes. Super Duty, Silverado and Sierra HD, Ram 2500 and 3500 are a large part of what comes through here, including traction bars for trucks making enough torque to wrap an axle.
That is usually sagging or cracked leaf springs, and it is common on trucks that carry weight. Depending on the truck we replace the pack, add a leaf or fit a block. We will tell you which one your truck actually needs.
Yes. Bring the parts and we will fit and align them. We will also tell you up front if anything is missing or wrong for your truck, which happens more often with online kits than people expect.
